چکیده
Procedures for asymbiotic germination and seedling development under in vitro ex conditions were investigated Bletilla striata. Five different media (½ P6668 ¬Phytamax Orchid Maintenance Media, ½ Media with coconut water, P723 PhytoTechnology Seed Sowing MS media) culture sphagnum moss examined their effectiveness 8 weeks on seed of B. Germination occurred all media, however, the best rate was obtained medium water while lowest frequency moss. Moreover, highest leaf parameters seedlings striata developed when showed results. Furthermore, germinated protocorms rhizoid formation media.

In vitro asymbiotic germination for micropropagation of the recalcitrant terrestrial orchid Chloraea crispa (Orchidaceae)1
PREMISE OF THE STUDY Chloraea crispa is a terrestrial Orchidaceae species native to Chile, characterized by a beautiful and showy inflorescence. The species has a great potential for commercial exploitation in the cut flower industry, but it is essential to improve propagation methods to avoid endangering its natural populations. Because this species is hard to propagate using traditional green...
متن کاملAn Effective Nutrient Media for Asymbiotic Seed Germination and In Vitro Seedling Development of Phalaenopsis ‘Bahia Blanca’
Our study was to develop a rapid and successful method for promoting asymbiotic seed germination and growth and development of protocorm like bodies (PLBs) and subsequent plantlets of Phalaenopsis orchid. Four basal media i.e. Murashige and Skoog (MS), half strength MS (½MS), Knudson C (KC) and, Vacin and Went (VW) supplemented with coconut water and peptone were examined for their effectivenes...

متن کاملEx situ conservation of Cymbidium eburneum Lindl.: a threatened and vulnerable orchid, by asymbiotic seed germination
The population of many splendid orchids is reducing from their natural habitats at an alarming rate and their conservation is becoming a matter of global concern. Asymbiotic seed germination has been applied for ex situ conservation of rare, endangered and threatened orchid taxa and could provide rapid means their multiplication. In the present study reported here, seeds of an epiphytic and rar...
متن کاملFactors Affecting Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Terrestrial Orchids Cultured in Vitro
Terrestrial orchids (Orchidaceae) have become objects of concern to conservationists due to the plants' high sensitivity to changes in its environment (Rasmussen, 1995). Surface sterilization of mature seeds before germination eliminates barriers to germination; hypochlorites are most often used for this (Lindén, 1992). The barriers include an almost waterproof testa, and embryo integuments con...
